A grand foyer, elegant French doors, and a breathtaking courtyard are just some of the details that enchant the grounds of Meridian House. Every corner of the venue left our team in awe, making Lilly and Cody’s day one we’ll never get over. In the heart of DC, this venue’s architecture was a rich canvas of culture and detail that danced hand in hand with the ECE team and bride’s creative visions.
When we first began planning with Lilly, her eye for detail and stunning aesthetics shone through. Her vision of the tablescape fit the mood of Meridian House’s stunning library perfectly. Florals that were simple, yet playful, artfully designed by Dear Flower, tied in well with the elegance of the room. The circular vases were a unique shape, adding volume to the table. The key to tablescapes like this one? The table should feel cohesive, not crowded.
Much of the textures and intricacies of Meridian House add to the richness of a wedding day.
A first look in Meridian’s private garden area allowed the couple a moment to take in the day, time pausing for a split second before the whirlwind of the day swept them away.
And we have to talk about the menu. The bride and groom brought their personalities to the table (with Chick-Fil-A and ramen for late night snacks!) making guests feel right at home. Another personal touch inviting guests into the day was the array of disposable cameras, allowing guests to capture the wedding from their POV, sure to give the couple photos that will bring back a rush of fond memories.
This wedding was one of our favorites. From working with such a kind couple, to seeing how much love their guests had for them, it felt seamless.
Cheers to L + C!

ECE
